Decentralizing Education for Youth (DEFY)
Decentralizing Education for Youth (DEFY) is a numeracy enrichment program created to help close the proficiency gap among Rochester City School District students.
A STEM education will become increasingly crucial for access to future jobs, and numeracy skills will be the backbone of that education. The DEFY program ensures equity of access to those skills.
Venue: RCSD Martin Luther King Jr. School #9
Participants: 20 5th-Grade Students and one 3rd-Grade Student

Blockchain Fundamentals
To help Rochester, NY realize crypto's benefits, we’re building out curriculums for local schools. For example, the Blockchain Fundamentals course is an introductory course for high schools designed to onramp newcomers to the concepts, functions, and ideas of blockchain technology.
The course is inclusive in composition to ensure it meets each student where they are and provides the necessary information to construct a strong understanding.

Mining Engineer Fellowship
Bringing high-paying jobs to economically distressed zip codes, the Mining Engineer Fellowship provides recent high school graduates with work experience as digital asset mining engineers — onboarding into a profitable and future-focused job market.
Throughout the program, the fellows will:
Get a 360-degree view of blockchain industry operations, diving into mining, finance, and business development.
Gain insights from experts, working alongside some of the blockchain industry’s most knowledgeable leaders.
Attain hands-on experience beyond Rochester, traveling to various data centers throughout North America.
